The Woodford Club Foundation was established in 2023 for the purpose of organizing golf-related events to raise vital funds for charitable causes that enrich the lives of individuals and communities.
The 4th Annual Woodford Legends Invitational Crowns a New Champion for the First Time in Three Years!
The Woodford Legends Invitational celebrates women’s golf by bringing together Legends of the LPGA with some of Kentucky’s top women amateur golfers for two days of outstanding competition at The Woodford Club. The tournament showcases many of the most accomplished players in women’s golf, including World Golf Hall of Fame members and champions from around the world.
This year, the coveted barrel-head trophies are headed to Texas following a record-setting performance by Angela Stanford and Wendy Ward. The duo fired a remarkable final-round 55 at The Woodford Club, finishing the two-day tournament at an incredible 30-under par and claiming the championship by six shots.
Beyond the competition, the Woodford Legends Invitational is about making an impact. Proceeds from the event support KVC Kentucky and The Woodford Club Foundation, whose mission is to “raise funds that enrich the lives of individuals and communities.”
It was an unforgettable weekend of championship golf, great competition, and a celebration of the past, present, and future of women’s golf.
