Legends Return to Kentucky in 2025

The 2025 Woodford Legends Invitational will be Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8!

We are so excited to welcome everyone back for a weekend full of great golf for a great cause.

The Woodford Club Foundation was established in 2023 for the purpose of organizing golf-related events to raise vital funds for charitable causes that enrich the lives of individuals and communities.

(Versailles, KY) Media Day for the Woodford Legends Invitational

Official 2025 Woodford Legends Invitational Kickoff!

Media Day at The Woodford Club! We’re still buzzing from an incredible Media Day as we gear up for the Woodford Legends Invitational, coming June 7–8! The energy, excitement, and community spirit were on full display today — and we couldn’t be more grateful.

LPGA legends Leta Lindley and Nancy Scranton brought the course to life, joining each scramble group to play a few holes, share stories, and connect with everyone out there. Their presence made the day feel truly special.

ESPN Radio personality Matthew Laurance and Jimmy Phillips were live on-site, bringing that signature voice and adding to the excitement of the day.

Randy Clay, co-owner of The Woodford Club, spoke to a strong media turnout, highlighting what this tournament means to the club, our county, and golf in Kentucky. Huge thanks to our media friends from ABC36LEX18, the Herald-Leader, and the Woodford Sun, just to name a few, for coming out to cover the event and share the excitement.

We were also proud to welcome Judge Executive James Kay as an honored guest — always a champion for our local community and events that bring people together.

And what a thrill to have Hall of Fame jockeys in attendance — including Steve Cauthen, who made history as the youngest jockey to ever win the Triple Crown at just 18 years old. An absolute legend among legends!

In addition, we were proud to spotlight KVC Kentucky, the charitable recipient of this year’s tournament. Dr. Megan Moore shared inspiring words about the incredible work KVC is doing to strengthen and support families across the state.

This was the perfect way to kick things off.
